National Slam the Scam Day is rapidly approaching this Thursday, March 10, 2022. Slam the Scam is an initiative to raise public awareness of the pervasive scams that continue to plague the nation, especially our older adult population.

Tips for spotting the various scams is a major thrust of this year’s event. The Social Security Administration Office of the Inspector General partner with other government agencies, non-profit organizations, and the private sector to increase awareness and how to spot scams and avoid being a victim.
